Newspaper clippings covering the St. Louis Browns from 1886 to 1888. Includes game accounts, editorials, box scores and world series accounts. Articles relating to the winter meeting of 1886, the Wiman trophy and King Kelly sold to Boston for $10,000.00. On page 46, there is a description of the ball, number used per year, cost. States umpire must break box seal on field before tossing to pitcher. The last page has an interview with Cap Anson, copyright 1911, describing his career.
